When Shoul I Consider Getting a Screening?
The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests children be screened between the ages of 18 and 24 months. If your child is beyond that age range, consider screenings if you are concerned with specific skill sets and behaviors.
Why Should I get a Screening?
The benefits of screening your child is early detection of possible developmental delays. An early detection can provide your child with the opportunity to receive the necessary interventions which can ultimately change the outcome of their development.
What Does Our Screening Look Like?
Our screenings consist of a three-part process including a parent interview, direct assessment of skills, and a comprehensive report based on our findings.
What Does It Take Place and Who Conducts the Screening?
This screening will take place in the convenience of your home or in our clinic (coming soon) by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Registered Behavior Technician.
* The screening will not result in a diagnosis but will help to determine whether an evaluation is necessary for a formal diagnosis. Formal diagnoses can be determined by a qualified medical specialist such as a neurologist, behavior pediatrician, or psychiatrist.
