The benefits are extremely significant and life altering for children. With the help of therapy, nearly 50% of children with developmental delays can be considered ‘indistinguishable’ from their peers, while another 25% show significant gains. Research conducted in 1987 by Dr. Lovaas, a professor at UCLA and co-founder of Autism Society of America, proves that the earlier intervention can begin in a diagnosed child’s life, the better their overall improvement will be. A number of follow up studies since then have concluded in the same results.

Although there may be some misinformed opinions about what ABA is and why it exists, based on scientific research, it has been proven that ABA done properly will help improve the way human beings learn. With that being said, we want to ensure others that ABA therapy wholeheartedly exists to help children develop and help them become the best that they can be.
In terms of the cost for such programs, ABA services are typically covered by insurance and are subject to the terms of your insurance policy. Typically, once a deductible is covered, insurance pays for 80% until the out-of-pocket max is met. At which point, the service is covered at 100%.
