Tiffany Mitchell

Tiffany graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychology. She has worked as a behavioral therapist for 6.5 years providing in-home ABA services to young children with autism. What she enjoys most about her job are the immediate rewards of watching young children grow and thrive within their natural environments; “I enjoy being able to observe the direct results of ABA implementation and team effort. I’ve witnessed firsthand how it can positively change lives of children and their families, and it’s so inspiring to be a part of it.” Tiffany graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis & Therapy.
Nina Koehler

Nina Koehler received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Behavioral Science, as well as her Master of Arts in Psychology from National Louis University. Nina also has a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Nina is very passionate about working with children with Autism and has over 7 years’ experience treating children in a variety of settings. Nina has a brother with Down Syndrome and Autism. “I searched for a long time to find the most effective form of treatment for my brother. I wish I knew then what I know now.” Nina is dedicated to helping families like her own and is very passionate about education and staying current on all the latest treatments for children with developmental delays.
Danielle Helsel

Danielle earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology with a minor in Sociology at Saint Xavier University. When studying for her undergrad, she took a class that focused on children on the spectrum and fell in love with the idea of helping children with autism. “I believe watching children grow beyond their parents’ expectations is the greatest feeling in the world, especially when I gets to be a part of that success.” She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Applied behavior Analysis (ABA) with an Emphasis in Autism at Ball State University.
Jamie Kovalcik

Jamie earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Health Science at Governors State University. Jamie earned her Master of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. She has over five years experience working with children and adults with special needs. “My favorite part about working with children is being able to watch them laugh, play and really enjoy therapy time.” Jamie enjoys teaching children new skills that will help shape them for a lifetime. Jamie always strives to help make a difference in people’s lives, and she loves helping the children reach their goals while advancing their development. Jamie is a Registered Behavioral Technician and has a VBMAPP certificate.

Emily received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Governors State University, with a concentration in Mindfulness studies. She is currently working toward her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at Governors State University. Emily has always had a passion for working with children and is a devout advocate for children with special needs. As a Team Lead Therapist, she aspires to promote and enhance the proficiencies and well being of both child and family.

Nichole graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Northern Illinois University in 2011. She has taught children with multiple disabilities including Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Impairments for seven years. After several years of teaching, Nichole found herself interested in the functions of behaviors which led her to obtain her master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Trinity Christian College in 2017. She earned her BCBA later that year and has been conducting in-home therapy since. “I have always wanted to work with children since I was kid, now that I do it as a career, I could not imagine my life without the smiles, progress, and challenges each and every child I work with exhibits.”
Rafael Navarro

Rafael earned his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science at National Louis University. With previous experience as a Paraprofessional for the diverse learning community at Chicago Public Schools, he eventually became a Registered Behavior Technician working with youth on the Autism spectrum ranging from ages 3 to 23. As an active member of the communities which raised him, Rafael has created and led youth programming, as well as mentored youth in some of Chicago’s most high-risk neighborhoods. Experiences from both his life and career have culminated to an amazing opportunity as ABC’s Outreach Coordinator. Knowing first hand the positive impact ABA therapy has on children and their families is one of the main reasons Rafael is passionate about informing, educating and serving our communities.

Adrienne graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Adrienne is going into her second year in the ABA field. She entered this field to pursue her passion and desire to help children and to have a successful influence on their lives. Adrienne loves the rewards that are derived from working with the children, whether it’s a hug, a smile, or simply observing the positive effect this form of treatment has on them. She is planning on continuing her education in the ABA field.

Shannon Collins
Team Lead, Registered Behavior Technician

Shannon graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a minor in Sociology. She wishes to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science. Shannon is new to ABA, and has spent this past year learning skills that will help her advance in this field. She has always enjoyed working with children; helping them to develop their skills and improve their quality of life. Shannon’s dedication to the program does not stop after work hours. She is always thinking of new ways to help her clients thrive. “I am grateful that these children are a part of my life. It is amazing to see how far my clients have come since I have started, and I am proud to be a part of the amazing teams that help them find their voice.”
Caryn Brasseur
Team Lead, Registered Behavior Technician

Caryn has been in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for six years and loves what she does. She attended Illinois State University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Education. She continued her education at Ashford University and received her Master of Arts degree with a concentration in family and community services. She recently finished the classwork required to sit for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certification at Florida Institute of Technology. She will be sitting for the exam this year. “I find such joy in working in this field because I learn so much from these kids with all their different abilities. I love going home at the end of the day knowing I helped make a difference in that child’s day.”
Kimberly May

Kimberly May earned her Bachelor of Science degree in community wellness with a minor in health at Bradley University. She has always enjoyed working to influence kids in a positive way. In college, she was a nanny, an afterschool educator, and a regular volunteer at Central Illinois Riding Therapy where she helped impact kids on the spectrum through horse therapy. She is fairly new to ABA therapy, but has already fallen in love with her job. She enjoys going to work every day and seeing how much of an impact her work has on these kids. She believes each child has their own unique capabilities and strengths that will allow them to succeed in life, and she is thankful that ABA therapy has taught her the skills needed to implement this.
Morgan Eslinger

Morgan earned her Bachelor’s from North Central College with a major in psychology and a minor in Spanish. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration on children and adolescent studies at Lewis University. Morgan has worked with children on the spectrum for nearly two years and finds joy in the learning process that ABA therapy provides. Specifically, Morgan finds great reward in watching how techniques learned through ABA therapy can enhance a child’s autonomy and provide them with a plethora of life skills. She believes that ABA therapy not only benefits the child, but also the family unit as a whole. ”I find inspiration in my work through the gratification of client relationships and the opportunity to strengthen a child’s abilities.”

Jocelyn Rivera

Jocelyn graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University in December 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Jocelyn is new to ABA and has spent the past year gaining experience to effectively help her clients learn the skills needed to thrive in a classroom setting and live happy and productive lives. “My favorite part about working in this field is watching my client’s progress and leading them toward self-sufficiency.” Jocelyn enjoys going to work every day and finds inspiration in the challenges ABA provides. She enjoys working with children and being able to impact them and their families in a positive way. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis and become certified as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Carlie-Ann

Carlie-Ann received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Counseling Psychology from Johnson and Wales University. Her goal is to further her academic career by attaining a Doctoral Degree in the field of Counseling Psychology. She immediately began her counseling practice after college with Applied Behavioral Consulting. Her dedication and drive was motivated to counseling children on the spectrum at an early age through exposure to family members, friends, and doing volunteer work during her summers. The passion that has driven her to help these children grow was reinforced over and over as she tutored and babysat. Carlie-Ann is thrilled that she has been given an opportunity to grow and develop her counseling skills to provide the best possible help to her clients.
Emily Viccarone

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Bowling Green State University in 2018. There she studied Human Development and Family Studies. After graduation she started working in the Applied Behavior Analysis field as a Registered Behavior Technician. She loves working with children and really found her passion in this field. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the University of Cincinnati in Applied Behavior Analysis. She has one year left in grad school and plans to sit for the BCBA exam shortly after that. Emily loves working in the field with the children and feels genuine happiness each day working with her client’s and watching them grow and learn new skills.

Kassandra Mendoza

Kassandra received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Biological Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently pursuing admission into professional school to earn her DMD in pediatric dentistry. Kassy is new to ABA, but she adores working with children and being able to impact them in such a rewarding way. “You form a special bond seeing the kids daily and the love and joy they give you is an amazing feeling”. She is grateful to have the opportunity to work with children on the spectrum and learn more about ABA therapy every day. She also enjoys the challenge ABA brings her and is committed to aiding children receive the best possible care.
Greg Simms
Team Lead, Registered Behavior Technician

Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education from Benedictine University and is currently pursuing his Masters in Transition to Teaching at Calumet College of Saint Joseph. Greg has logged over 200 clinical hours in multiple Special Education classrooms as well as experience in an alternative classroom within the Valparaiso Community Schools system. “My favorite part of teaching children is watching them take the information that is presented to them and have them use it in their own way”. Greg’s spare time is also spent with children and young adults. Greg coaches 7th grade Football as the Offensive Coordinator and as the Freshman Head Baseball coach. Greg enjoys watching students learn and grow and develop not only on the field but also in ABA therapy.
Hannah Carl

Hannah graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health Services and minors in Psychology and American Sign Language Studies. “I feel very fortunate to have worked with both children and adults with special needs for over four years as they have been such an inspiration and joy in my life”. While pediatrics has always been an interest of hers, that passion was solidified when she had the opportunity to work at an ABA clinic through her University. “I loved seeing the positive change ABA brought to both the children and their families. My favorite part about working with kids is watching them finally master a skill after putting in so much effort to get there. I am very excited to help more children grow and succeed with ABC!”
Lauren Schroeder

Lauren earned her Bachelor’s in Forensic Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Studies at Saint Ambrose University. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lewis University. Along with working at ABC, she works as a part-time preschool teacher with two-year-olds. She has worked and volunteered in multiple settings with children and adolescents, such as Gigi’s Playhouse a Down Syndrome Achievement Center, World Relief, School Juvenile Court Liaison Intern and an after-school youth mentor. Lauren has always had a passion for working with children. She has loved getting to learn about ABA and better developing her skills as a therapist. Every session, she loves watching the children make breakthroughs and is amazed at their hard work as they develop and build upon skills. She believes that every child should be given the chance and tools to achieve their own unique potential.
Meghan Condon

Meghan received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northern Illinois University. She has always been drawn to the field of psychology and became interested in ABA after working with children on the spectrum in a childcare setting. Her favorite part about working with children is seeing them learn and develop in their own individual way. She plans to pursue a Master’s degree either in Applied Behavioral Analysis or Occupational therapy and continue to work with children on the spectrum.
Skye Flores

Skye received her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Psychology and Criminology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Skye is fairly new to the world of ABA and is grateful for the chance to learn more about the field and for the opportunities ABC has opened up for her. She has always enjoyed helping individuals and being able to help children learn and develop lifelong skills. “Watching them ultimately reach their full potential is an absolutely wonderful feeling”. She has loved seeing the children grow, master skills, and build relationships with her over their time spent together. Skye is looking forward to learning more about ABA and gaining valuable skills to help her grow as a behavioral therapist.
